FreeHeat™ – Arctic Spas Patented Technology

by | Jun 17, 2021

Are you worried about keeping your tub safe in harsh climates? Do you want to find a way to save money heating your tub? Our patented FreeHeat™ Perimeter Insulation System was specifically designed to solve both of these concerns.

What is FreeHeat™?

FreeHeat™ is our patented insulation design that will guarantee lower running costs and true protection from the cold. This system heats your hot tub by using excess heat that is already produced, rather than wasting it.

Arctic Spas® uses insulation that covers the full perimeter of the tub, just like your house. We cover the floors, walls, and cabinets in a fully engineered way to guarantee you save money and protect your tub from the cold.

This insulation technique is able to trap that heat that is produced from the equipment that is running your tub! The fibreglass shell plays one of the most important roles in this system as the uninsulated shell allows for a full heat transfer. This fine-tuned system is guaranteed to save you money and protect your tub in the winter.

Low Cost

Our FreeHeat™ system is strategically manufactured to save you money and increase the longevity of your tub. By utilizing the supplemental heat from the tub, especially from the High Flow Energy Efficient motors, we can eliminate extra heater cycles.

By specifically insulating the tub in certain areas we turn this excess heat into a useful efficient system. Our competitors who fill tubs with foam are creating a barrier between the equipment and the shell, preventing any heat transfer (and making maintenance/upgrades difficult).

In hotter climates, FreeHeat™ might even eliminate the need for your heating element at all! Beware that other spas are not designed this way! Our competitors often use a cabinet full of foam that does not allow the excess heat to reach the fibreglass bottom of your tub. With all this foam the heat has nowhere to go but out, costing money where it would be saved.
